Rangers attacker Hamza Igamane has blown James McFadden away with a “magnificent” moment in the Light Blues’ win over Dundee United.
Philippe Clement’s side managed to pick up a third league win of the season as they ran out 1-0 winners at Tannadice on Sunday (15 September) thanks to Tom Lawrence’s first-half strike.
The Welshman was unable to find the net a second time as Jack Walton pulled off an excellent stop from close range, but Sky Sports pundit McFadden was left in awe by Igamane’s “outstanding” pass in the build-up.
Speaking on Sky Sports Football on Sunday (15 September, 13:36) he said: “I tell you what, it is outstanding from Igamane.
“The first touch was magnificent, the first touch, his weight of pass is perfect. It’s a really good save from Jack Walton.”

Rangers supporters may not have got to see loads of Igamane in a Light Blues shirt, but the striker has looked incredibly bright and effective in his limited minutes in Glasgow.
Against Celtic, the Moroccan’s cameo was one of the few positive moments for Clement’s side and he was similarly impressive at Tannadice on Sunday once he replaced Cyriel Dessers in the second half.
The 21-year-old clearly has genuine quality on the ball. His first touch and turn before the pass to pick out Lawrence was exceptional and the sort of thing fans would have been expecting from Nedim Bajrami rather than Igamane.
He is still very raw and it could be a while before Clement trusts him to start games, especially with Cyriel Dessers in reasonable form. But with Danilo set for another spell on the sidelines, Igamane should have plenty of opportunities to impress from the bench.
Perhaps Rangers could even play both of their strikers in a partnership. The added threat of having two genuine forwards at the top of the pitch could make the Gers much more impactful in the final third.
