Man City fans rage at 'serious', 'embarrassing' footage in stands at Liverpool

Man City fans are enraged at being unable to secure away tickets for their fixture against Liverpool after a video emerged of a row of men wearing Barcelona shirts attending the match.

Liverpool extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to nine points and heaped more misery on fading champions Man City with a fully deserved 2-0 victory at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah showed perfect vision to pick out Cody Gakpo for a simple finish in front of the Kop as City were unable to cope with the Reds relentless attacking intensity. The league leaders deservedly increased their lead with 12 minutes left from a Salah penalty.

Despite the result many Man City supporters took to social media, venting their frustration over the club’s apparent inability to accommodate supporters for this highly anticipated match.

A video surfaced showing a line of individuals wearing Barcelona shirts, which sparked confusion and speculation among fans. While it’s unclear whether these fans were genuinely Barcelona supporters or part of an organised joke, the sight of them in City’s away end only added to the tension on the pitch.

Supporters voiced their frustrations on social media with one fan calling it “embarrassing” and another calling it a “joke”.

Just as with Pep Guardiola’s side another supporter suggested something is “seriously wrong” with the ticketing situation and one looking forward to relegation as a result.
