Man United ace Marcus Rashford breaks silence on Ruben Amorim appointment

Man United star Marcus Rashford has taken to social media to make his feelings known over the appointment of Ruben Amorim.

After being linked with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, and West Ham in the summer, Amorim, 39, finally landed a big Premier League job, taking over 13th-placed Man United

Amorim is the club’s seventh permanent manager since Sir Alex Ferguson retired back in 2013, replacing Erik ten Hag following his dismissal earlier in the season.

The highly regarded young coach enjoyed immense success at Sporting CP, winning their first league title for 18 years back in 2020-21 before securing a second in 2023-24.

He will have to wait until after the international break to take charge of his first game, however, as they prepare for a trip to newly-promoted Ipswich Town.

It’s been a tough start to the season for Rashford, 27, who has only managed to score four goals and provide three assists in 18 games across all competitions for his boyhood club.

A new era is about to begin at the club, however, and Rashford has given Amorim his seal of approval after liking a post made by the club’s official account on Instagram.

Rashford reportedly had a frosty relationship with Ten Hag, notably refusing to say anything about his dismissal.

A new manager means a fresh opportunity to make an impression and Rashford will no doubt want to become a key figure under Amorim.
