Jack Grealish sends message to Jordan Pickford as full stats emerge

Jack Grealish has taken to social media to praise England shot-stopper Jordan Pickford after his performance in their 3-0 win over Greece on Thursday (November 14).

Pickford, 30, was at his best in England’s latest UEFA Nations League win, earning the Man of the Match award as they secured all three points against the Greeks.

Ending the game having made five saves, eight recoveries, and a pass accuracy rate of 79 per cent, he proved exactly why he’s the number one.

As one of the more senior players in the England squad, incoming manager Thomas Tuchel will no doubt be looking to the Everton man to lead their charge for silverware.

Grealish, 29, was forced to pull out of Carsley’s last squad as interim manager having picked up an injury ahead of Man City’s 5-0 Champions League win over Sparta Prague earlier in the season.

He may not be with the team but he’s cheering them on from afar, taking to Instagram to send a message to Pickford following his most recent performance.

It’s unclear exactly when Grealish will be back in action but with City having lost their last four games across all competitions, Pep Guardiola will need him.

Now five points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool in the race for the title, City will face Tottenham after the international break.
