Man United Exclusive: Big Ten Hag sack update tonight

Erik ten Hag is seen as a “dead man walking” at Man United if he doesn’t improve results, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed that the United boss will “get to at least Christmas.”

The 20-time champions aren’t looking to make any kneejerk reactions to the club’s poor start to the season, which has seen them win just one of their three opening matches.

Ten Hag is believed to be safe in his position for now after the club opted to keep him in charge following United’s FA Cup victory last season.

It is believed he remained in charge at Old Trafford out of luck more than anything, as United chiefs looked at other potential candidates following the previous campaign.

The club wants to see an improvement in performances and results, and if that doesn’t come then he is going to be in trouble.

Erik ten Hag will want time to bed in his new players at Man United

Ten Hag was financially backed in the summer as the club made six signings to bolster the squad for this season.

Joshua Zirkzee was signed as an attacking option, while Matthijs De Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and Leny Yoro were all brought into the club to improve the defensive side of the team.

Teenage sensation Sekou Kone and Manuel Ugarte have enhanced Ten Hag’s midfield options, and the United manager will now look for those players to settle in.

Ten Hag’s bosses will not keep accepting poor results, and if there is a lack of progress then they will not hesitate to search for a new manager.

Man United

United have already suffered two defeats this season against Brighton and Liverpool, leaving the club 14th in the Premier League table.

Ten Hag’s men will be back in action on 14 September against Southampton when club football returns.
