Manchester United objected to a proposed kickoff time against Fulham after their game against Rangers in the Europa League, according to The Times.
The news outlet reports [11 December] that the Red Devils were supposed to take on the Cottagers at noon on 26 January, 62 hours after the Old Trafford showdown, but that match will now start at 7 pm.
Tottenham travel to Glasgow on Thursday [12 December], and the Light Blues will take on Man United in their next fixture in the European competition on 23 January.
The Gers have two tough challenges ahead, with the Scottish League Cup final against Celtic on 15 December following the Spurs game.
Rangers in good position ahead of Manchester United fixture
The Bears haven’t had the best campaigns in the Scottish Premiership, but Clement’s team are in a good position in the Europa League.
Tottenham are coming to Ibrox in a difficult period, with questions being raised about Ange Postecoglou’s future at the North London club.
The Gers have a massive opportunity to solidify their place in the knockout rounds of the European competition by taking points away from the Premier League outfit.
Rangers also face Manchester United during a period where the Red Devils find themselves in a predicament, with Ruben Amorim finding things difficult in the Old Trafford dugout.
While the Manchester club could improve in the coming weeks, the Ibrox faithful will undoubtedly be confident about facing the English giants.
The Light Blues have been in fine form recently, but if the next two matches don’t pan out in their favour, the Glaswegian outfit could find themselves in a crisis.
