Manchester United fans all make the same point about 'outstanding' Manuel Ugarte after Wolves defeat
Another dismal United effort but Ugarte can hold his head up high
Manchester United delivered yet another frustrating and underwhelming display against Wolves but the Red Devils fans at least feel like they’ve unearthed one potential star.
Reported target Matheus Cunha scored for Wolve in the second half to continue his own fine run of form while Bruno Fernandes was sent off for United.
Indeed, after Fernandes was slammed by United fans last week, it remains to be seen if Ruben Amorim will make any sort of knee-jerk reactions when it comes to his skipper.
However, while Fernandes frustrates and United continue to look poor under Amorim, there was at least one positive for the United fans in midfield.
The performance of new signing Manuel Ugarte was one of a few positives for United and after taking a few months to settle, Ugarte is now looking the business.
Remarkably, Ugarte was taken off by Amorim just after the hour.
But for United fans, the Uruguayan had done enough to show them he can be a real force this season and beyond.
Man United fans praise Manuel Ugarte despite Wolves performance
For most United fans, the majority of this team could be moved on and simply wouldn’t be missed.
The likes of Marcus Rashford, Andre Onana and Anthony are all players who a lot of United fans would be happy to see go.
However, when it comes to Manuel Ugarte, the opinion seems to be that they’ve at least got someone to build the team around.
Indeed, one fan suggested the squad don’t even deserve him.
And another supporter claimed they now have the best ball winner in the league.
@LiamPaulCanning continued the praise of Ugarte, praising the signing.
“Ugarte is just fantastic. Breaks up everything and gives the simple pass. If you can’t see that then I’m not sure what to say. He’s been an excellent addition.”
While @AdamJoseph____ echoed those thoughts, lauding the midfielder as ‘outstanding’.
“Manuel Ugarte’s last few games have been outstanding. He is absolutely everywhere. Such an important member of this team.”
@AlexMUFC18 claimed Ugarte is quietly shutting people up.
“Ugarte is quietly shutting the hatters up he’s unbelievable”
Finally, @LeahGS went more in depth, claiming Ugarte is a superb signing for the club.
“The more I watch Ugarte the more I love him. How he breaks up play, how he does simple passes, how he always shows up & puts in a performance is just absolutely class. Anyone who still doesn’t see what a superb addition he has been I don’t know what to say to you”
Amorim has to build around Manuel Ugarte
There are some players at Manchester United who will be moved on quickly under this new management team but Manuel Ugarte is not one of them.
The midfielder was great before taken off against Wolves and as the fan reaction shows, it does seem like United have got it right with Ugarte’s signing.
Still, United need far, far more from others in the squad.
Indeed, you could even argue the pressure is already on Ruben Amorim, such is the level of performance and results right now.
