Liverpool returned to the top of the Champions League table following their 2-0 win over Real Madrid on Wednesday night.
Arne Slot’s charges opened the scoring through Alexis Mac Allister’s goal in the 52nd minute, which came about thanks to some great work from Conor Bradley.
Mac Allister played a one-two with Bradley on the edge of the Real area, which created some space for the Liverpool midfielder to fire past Thibaut Courtois.
Just moments earlier, Bradley had a great chance to open the scoring for the Reds, but Courtois pulled off a superb save.
The Northern Ireland international was superb throughout, weighing in with plenty of tackles, including a superb challenge on Kylian Mbappe on 31 minutes.
Bradley ended up making way in the 87th minute after picking up a hamstring issue and left the pitch to a standing ovation.
Indeed, Bradley’s display prompted a number of Liverpool fans to make the same point about him amid Trent Alexander-Arnold’s uncertain future at Anfield.

Liverpool fans say Real Madrid can have Trent Alexander-Arnold in wake of Conor Bradley heroics

Indeed, one supporter even joked that Los Blancos would be coming for Bradley instead of Alexander-Arnold amid links between the England international and Real Madrid.
Cody Gakpo went on to make it 2-0 midway through the second half thanks to his unmarked bullet header from Andrew Robertson’s delivery.
How the media rated Bradley’s display v Real Madrid
Liverpool World gave Bradley an 8 out of 10 rating and wrote: ‘Produced a ferociously well-timed tackle to stop Mbappe in his tracks and dragged one shot wide in the first half.
‘Got into threatening areas after the break, with one deft header producing a fine save from Courtois. Then got the assist for Mac Allister’s opener and was so tenacious throughout.’
Meanwhile, the Liverpool Echo gave Bradley a rating of 9 out of 10 for his heroics on the night.
