Leicester currently sit 16th in the Premier League table, one point above the relegation zone. Having ended his playing career in 2012, Van Nistelrooy started his coaching journey with PSV’s Under-17s the following year. The former Manchester United striker spent 14 months in charge of PSV’s first team, beating Ajax in the finals of the Dutch Cup and the Dutch Super Cup. Van Nistelrooy has also worked as an assistant with the Netherlands national team under Guus Hiddink and Ronald Koeman.
