Arsenal are set for a busy end to the summer transfer window as they look to add the finishing touches to their squad.
Over the past few days, the Gunners have signed another player and are in the process of moving others on.
Mikel Merino has joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad, becoming the Gunners’ second summer signing after Riccardo Calafiori.
On the outgoings front, Eddie Nketiah is set to swap Arsenal for Crystal Palace, while Aaron Ramsdale is expected to move to Southampton.
Fabrizio Romano has now shared the latest on the latter, including the financial breakdown of the deal – how much money Arsenal will get, and on what terms.

Arsenal set for £18million up front as Aaron Ramsdale set for Thursday medical at Southampton
Romano, taking to X on Wednesday evening, says Arsenal will receive £18million up front from the sale of Ramsdale, plus £1million if Southampton stay in the Premier League.
In addition, the Gunners stand to earn £6million in add-ons relating to player performance, according to the transfer insider.
The £120,000-a-week ace will travel from London to Southampton on Thursday to undergo his medical, added Romano.
Ramsdale set to shine at Southampton
On one hand, it’s sad to see Ramsdale on his way out of Arsenal, considering he didn’t even do anything wrong at N5.
It was just a case of Mikel Arteta preferring David Raya’s traits and ultimately making him first-choice ahead of Ramsdale.
On the other hand, Ramsdale became number one at Arsenal in similar circumstances, as Bernd Leno was dropped and ultimately left.
The Arsenal project is advancing at lightning speed, and part of the reason is because Arteta is not afraid to be ruthless.
Nevertheless, Ramsdale is a “brilliant” keeper and he’ll no doubt be a quality player for Southampton.
