Report: Inter Milan are keeping a really close eye on £19m Arsenal player
????
Arsenal are expected to once again challenge for the Premier League title this term.
The North Londoners have run Manchester City close over the last two seasons and many believe this is finally their year.
To achieve that goal, they’ll need to use their squad in order to contend with the congested fixture list.
Arsenal rejected a late bid for Leandro Trossard for that reason and now it’s just emerged that another club on the continent are considering a move for one of their fringe players.
Inter Milan interested in Takehiro Tomiyasu
According to Italian outlet Inter Live, Inter Milan are keeping an eye on Arsenal right-back Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Serie A giants have identified Tomiyasu as a potential replacement for Yann Bisseck, who’s not convinced Simone Inzaghi.
The Japan international is currently recovering from injury and is yet to feature for Mikel Arteta’s side this season.
Arsenal reportedly value Tomiyasu at around £12.6m and it’s even suggested that a loan with an obligation to buy could be enough to convince chiefs.
Whether Arteta would be happy with that deal remains to be seen, though, it seems unlikely.
Takehiro Tomiyasu sale could fund move for striker
Arsenal’s main priority in Janaury must be to bring in a specialist number nine as that’s the weakest area of the squad as it stands.
The potential sale of Tomiyasu could help to facilitate a move to sign Sporting’s Viktor Gyokeres or perhaps Lille’s Jonathan David, who’d be a cheaper option – likely below £25m.
