Arsenal are gearing up to take on fellow Premier League title challengers Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta’s Gunners host Arne Slot’s Reds at N5 in the day’s 4:30pm kick-off, a clash of the titans with so much at stake.
Arsenal and Liverpool occupy fourth and second place in the table respectively, and both will be eager to finally dethrone Manchester City as champions this term.
TBR Football looks at who Arteta could name in his starting XI for the game against the Anfield outfit.
Arsenal team news v Liverpool
In terms of definite absences for Arsenal, centre-back William Saliba is suspended following his sending-off against Bournemouth last week.
Riccardo Calafiori, Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber are said to be doubts for the game, with the latter duo “very uncertain” to feature, according to Arteta.
Oleksandr Zinchenko backed to start for Arsenal as Leandro Trossard dropped against Liverpool
Arteta has a difficult decision to make at left-back should Timber and Calafiori both be unavailable.
We predict Oleksandr Zinchenko will get the nod in this case, as throwing Myles Lewis-Skelly in at the deep end against Mohamed Salah would be risky.
Elsewhere in defence, we predict Ben White at right-back and Jakub Kiwior to partner Gabriel Magalhaes at centre-back.
In midfield, Mikel Merino could get the nod alongside Declan Rice and Thomas Partey to offer a bit more protection for the depleted back four.
And up front, we predict Gabriel Jesus to get the nod on the right if Saka is unavailable, with Kai Havertz leading the line and Gabriel Martinelli on the left.
This line-up would see £27million forward Leandro Trossard drop to the Arsenal bench after he started against Shakhtar in midweek.
Arsenal predicted XI v Liverpool (4-3-3): Raya; White, Kiwior, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey, Rice, Merino; Jesus, Havertz, Martinelli
