Newcastle fans are all saying the same thing about new stadium after 'leak'

Newcastle United fans have questioned whether the reported cost of rebuilding St. James’ Park is worthwhile.

According to The Telegraph, the club will need to spend £1billion to rebuild the stadium and increase its capacity.

The Magpies are still deciding whether to go down this path or move locations and build a brand new stadium in a different place.

Detailed architectural plans to expand St. James’ Park have been drawn up, with the focus set to be on the East Stand and the Gallowgate End.

Newcastle wants the stadium’s capacity to rise to more than 60,000, but the club will need to extend their leasehold on the stadium to do that.

Football Insider revealed that the club are planning to expand the capacity following their sponsorship deal with Adidas.

Newcastle United fans don’t believe St. James’ Park rebuild is ‘sensible business’

The stadium plans have divided the Toon Army as fans are split on what they want the club to do in terms of staying in the current location or building a new stadium.

However, the estimated £1billion price tag of renovations are making some supporters question the decision.
