Newcastle United fans have hit out at Eddie Howe and the club after Yankuba Minteh scored his first goal since leaving the club for Brighton.
Minteh joined Brighton for £33million on 30 June, with the club forced into a big-money sale amid concerns over financial rule breaches.
However, the club may already be regretting the decision to sell to a Premier League rival after his impact in pre-season.
Signing a new right-winger has been a priority for Newcastle this summer, but in the absence of an incoming deal, Miguel Almiron remains the first choice in his position.
As a result, fans have insisted the Paraguayan should have been the one to leave rather than Minteh, blaming him for the sale.

The decision to sell Minteh came as the club found itself in a perilous position with the profit and sustainability rules, essentially forcing them into a quick sale.
However, supporters have insisted that other players should have been on the chopping block ahead of the 21-year-old winger.
Fans have raged at the club, Howe, and at Almiron after Minteh scored his first Brighton goal as they flooded social media.
Others expressed their frustration at the Premier League and PSR rules for the situation the club found itself in.
In other news, Newcastle fans have spotted a new “problem” after Sven Botman footage emerged.
