Martins is one of the best strikers that has emerged from Africa. He played for top clubs like Inter Milan, Newcastle United, and Wolfsburg. He was quite successful during his stay in Europe before moving to the USA.
At international level, Martins was also brilliant, producing 18 goals in 42 appearances.
