'OMG' - Architect behind new Everton stadium responds to criticism

Dan Meis, the architect who designed the Everton’s Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, has responded to brutal criticism on social media.

Everton supporters piled on the criticism when the Everton Stadium X account shared updated images on Thursday [5 September].

Some felt the paint job done on the Everton crest inside the dressing room was sub-par.

Meis responded to the criticism directly on his X account [5 September], saying: “OMG, you guys! It isn’t finished yet!! Did you notice the turf wasn’t there either??”

Everton supporters are at breaking point

It seems that after the Blues’ horrendous start to the 2024/25 Premier League season, Everton supporters will take every opportunity that comes their way to aim a dig at the club.

While their frustrations are justifiable this appears to be a new low, mocking images of their soon-to-be home Bramley Moore Dock which will surely become a financial gold mine for the club upon completion.

Tensions between the club and the supporters are at boiling point. Sean Dyche will need to get results when the Premier League returns following the international break or he could risk sending the Goodison Park faithful into turmoil.

The Everton fans are as passionate as they are brutal. The final season at Goodison Park is bound to bring up a lot of emotions.

But at the moment, with the side at their lowest, taking shots and nit-picking for any given fault is not beneficial for anyone.

Meis is well within his right to respond to the harsh and unjustifiable criticism of the stadium that he has worked so hard to bring to fruition.

No Everton fan will have a single bad word to say when the Blues step out onto the Bramley-Moore pitch for the first time next season.
