Amadou Onana has reacted on Instagram to the news that Lewis Dobbin has left Everton to join Aston Villa.
The Toffees academy product has departed Goodison Park, with Tim Iroegbunam coming in from the Villans this summer.
Dobbin took to social media to confirm the deal (23 June), sharing an image of himself signing his new contract alongside Villa president of football operations Monchi.
In a reaction to the news, Everton star Onana replied with one word, simply saying: “Scary”.
He followed that with a love heart eye emoji, which is a slightly unusual thing to add to a comment about a player leaving your club.

Villa and Everton have joined forces to try and overcome issues that the Premier League and PSR bring before the 30 June deadline.
Although not technically a swap deal in the traditional sense, both clubs do benefit from the deal in a financial sense.
The Toffees have paid a reported £9million fee to sign Iroegbunam from the Villans, which will bolster their squad next season.
Given that Dobbin hadn’t featured too much last season, it could prove to be a positive piece of business for Everton on and off the pitch.
Dobbin featured across just 12 Premier League appearances last season while starting just once, scoring in a memorable moment against Chelsea.
It has to be said that Onana’s comment is a strange one considering that a player has left Goodison Park as opposed to joining.
Is that a comment that a player who was staying at the club would say, or is that reading into a single word too much?
Everton fans will have to wait and see whether or not a move comes to the fore this summer for the Belgium international.
