Liam Kelly has agreed on a two-year contract with Rangers and his move to Ibrox will be announced by the club soon, according to Scott Burns.
The Scottish Express journalist reported via his X account on Thursday (27 June) that the Scottish international has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with Philippe Clement’s side following his exit from Motherwell.
Kelly will be the Belgian’s fourth addition of the summer transfer now as the Gers boss looks to put his own stamp on the squad and close the gap to Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
It had been reported by Chris Jack (27 June) that the 28-year-old had undergone a medical with the Light Blues and passed it without any issues and it now appears as though has transfer will be confirmed sooner rather than later.

He may not have been back from Germany for very long following Scotland’s disappointing Euro 2024 exit, but Kelly has wasted no time getting his summer move to Ibrox over the line ahead of the start of next season.
No one is expecting the stopper to come in and immediately replace Jack Butland between the posts in Glasgow, but with Jon McLaughlin’s exit confirmed and Robby McCrorie’s future unclear, the Gers are in need of some added depth.
Kelly has what it takes to be a competitive understudy to Butland while also being willing to play a bit part role on the field once he returns to Ibrox. This genuinely feels like the perfect transfer for all parties involved in the deal.
Hopefully, supporters won’t have to wait too long for the official announcement to emerge from the club’s channels, then attention can be turned to further incomings as Clement and his team are only just getting started this summer.
