Rangers will have money to strengthen their squad in the January transfer window, according to Craig Moore.

Speaking on The Go Radio Football Show [21 November], Moore said that he is sure that there is money being invested in the Light Blues in December.

The former Gers defender added that the club will utilise the investment to bolster their ranks for the second half of the season.

“I’m pretty sure that there will be investment coming into the club in December”, Moore said.

“I’m pretty sure, in December, there will be money coming into the football club that I’m sure they will try and look to utilise in terms of strengthening the squad.

“There will be an amount of investment that will enable Rangers to go and strengthen in the transfer window.”

Rangers welcome investment ahead of the January transfer window

Rangers have fallen nine points behind Celtic and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership title race and it is up to Philippe Clement and Co. to close the gap with the Hoops and the Dons.

However, the Gers have also seen their Old Firm rivals steal a march on them off the pitch and they are in desperate need of investment to catch up.

It emerged in September that the Govan-based club are willing to speak to investors [Andy Newport] and it appears there could be some money coming into the club next month.

This would be such welcome news for fans as Nils Koppen can now focus on making some shrewd signings in the January transfer window.

There might be light at the end of the tunnel for Rangers, with a CEO appointment also mooted to be weeks away.

However, there remain doubts over Clement’s future at Ibrox, with the 50-year-old reportedly under consideration to become the next Belgium coach [Ludo Vandewalle].

In other Rangers news, Michael Beale has come in for a lot of criticism after he recently said about his time at Ibrox.
