Rangers ace Tom Lawrence has missed training on Wednesday morning ahead of the game against Olympiacos, according to PLZ Soccer.
The news outlet reported on 6 November that the Wales international was not part of training as Gers prepare for their Europea League clash on 7 November.
The 30-year-old attacking midfielder played 36 minutes in the weekend’s 2-1 victory over Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup.
Tom Lawrence has been in fine form for Rangers this season
Thus far, it has not been revealed why Lawrence was absent from training but one would assume it would be down to his fitness issues.
Having started the game on Sunday, he was unable to last even one half and has perhaps not recovered from that injury yet.
It makes sense to not risk him as he’s not had the best track record in terms of his fitness since moving to Ibrox.
Until this season, that even impacted his output on the field of play so Philippe Clement would rather the club take a cautious approach.
This term, Lawrence has three goals and two assists in eight league games which is a pretty healthy tally for him.
Hopefully, his injury is not too serious and he’s back in time for the weekend as he is likely to sit the Europa League clash out.
In other Rangers news, an Ibrox-linked manager who’s admired by Pep Guardiola is in the frame for the job.
