Rangers reached a commercial agreement with Elior believed to be worth £2million per year, according to Stevie Clifford.
Writing in his Four Lads Had a Dream blog on 18 September, Clifford admitted that it was a huge deal for the club from a financial standpoint.
Elior have returned as the official catering partner at Ibrox and that’s a new record deal for the club as well.
Clifford wrote: “Rangers new sponsorship deal is huge value for the football club. This is more good news on the back of recent commercial deal with Elior, returning as the stadium’s catering partner, which is a new record deal for the club.
“That Elior deal is believed to be worth in the region of £2million a year and is a huge deal for the football club, a huge increase on any previous partnership.”
Rangers still have a lot of work to do behind the scenes
The significant commercial deal with Elior, worth around £2million annually, highlights the effective work of the hierarchy in securing substantial revenue, which is pivotal for the club’s financial health.
This success in the commercial realm not only bolsters the club’s financial resources but also sets a foundation for investment in the footballing side.
However, the challenge now lies in translating this financial stability into on-pitch success.
The people behind the scenes at Rangers deserve credit for these financial achievements, but their next task is creating a sustainable environment where managers and the team can thrive.
This involves not just financial backing but also strategic recruitment, effective scouting and a coherent football philosophy that aligns with the club’s ambitions.
By setting up a system that supports managerial success, Gers can ensure the financial prosperity is mirrored in their sporting performance, making the most of their increased resources.
In other Rangers news, a claim has emerged on a replacement for James Tavernier at Ibrox when he leaves.
