Former Liverpool winger Ryan Babel has called on Super Eagles attacker, Victor Osimhen, to make a decisive move regarding his future at Galatasaray SK, Soccernet.ng reports.
The Nigerian star has once again returned to the center of a permanent transfer move from Napoli with the Turkish giants pushing so hard to secure his signature permanently.
Having fallen out on his relationship with Napoli, the former LOSC Lille forward was able to secure a season-long loan move away from Naples to Istanbul.
Osimhen has continued to win the hearts of fans in Turkey, and his future with Gala remains a question that has not been answered, although the Nigerian has revealed he will be staying until the end of the season.
Babel, who also played for Galatasaray, told Fotomac he lauded Osimhen’s talent and expressed his importance to Turkish football.
“Osimhen is a great player, he has great talent. Türkiye should be happy to have him,” Babel stated.
Osimhen has quickly adjusted to life in Turkey, scoring six goals in his six domestic league appearances for the club and eight goals in total.
The former Ajax player stressed the need for clarity on Osimhen’s next steps. He revealed that the Nigerian international needs to make a quick decision on his future.
“He needs to decide about the future of his career. Will he stay in Galatasaray, or will he go to another team? He needs to decide on this,” Babel added.
During the international break, Osimhen equalled Segun Odegbami’s long-standing goal scoring record with a precise header during Nigeria’s clash against Benin Republic. He hopes to continue from where he left off when Galatasaray tackles Bodrum tomorrow.
