Everton take on Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday and Youssef Chermiti was spotted in training.
Liverpool Echo’s Joe Thomas attended the training session on Friday, 22 November, and stated that Jarrad Branthwaite and Dwight McNeil are in contention to play at Goodison Park on 23 November despite being injury doubts.
However, Armando Broja, who’s out with a knee injury and Chermiti who’s also spent months on the sidelines with a rare injury to his toe, are both unavailable, but still building up sharpness.
Via X, Thomas wrote: “Nice to see Branthwaite and McNeil (expected to be available for Brentford) back out there, and Broja and Chermiti (not ready but making progress) all out on the training pitches at Finch Farm.”
Everton fans will be delighted to see Youssef Chermiti and Armando Broja’s progress
It will be heartening for the fans to witness the progress of Broja and Chermiti, particularly as the team have faced challenges in front of goal.
Their efforts to regain fitness, despite not being ready for the fixture against Brentford, offer a glimmer of hope for Everton’s attacking options.
The return to training of Branthwaite and McNeil is also crucial as their availability could significantly bolster the squad.
Branthwaite’s defensive solidity and McNeil’s dynamism in the final third are vital for Sean Dyche’s side, especially in a match where securing all three points is imperative.
Their potential participation not only strengthens the lineup but also lifts the spirits of the fans, who are eager to see the team regain form.
The sight of these players back at Finch Farm, working hard and showing signs of recovery, symbolises a step forward for the Toffees.
In other Everton news, Alan Myers has revealed if new court “issues” are now set to impact the club’s takeover.
