Sources share Everton stance as 'Important' player linked with January exit - report

Everton have no plans to loan or sell Beto in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk.

The news outlet reported on 22 November that sources claim that the Portuguese striker is on the list of players Roma are monitoring.

However, the Toffees view him as an “important” squad player and he’s not the only striker the Italian side are looking at.

Beto may push for Everton exit due to lack of game time

Despite Everton’s reluctance to let him go, Beto might be contemplating a move away due to his limited playing time this season.

With Dominic Calvert-Lewin favoured as the first-choice striker under Sean Dyche, the Portuguese striker’s opportunities have been scarce, which is not ideal for him.

Roma’s interest could be tempting for the 26-year-old, offering him the chance for regular football in a competitive league.

While Everton see him as an important squad player, the allure of being a primary option elsewhere might outweigh the benefits of staying at Goodison Park without guaranteed game time.

If Dyche fails to assure Beto of more minutes or a significant role in the team, the striker’s desire to progress his career, gain experience and showcase his abilities could lead him to push for a move in January.

The 26-year-old has arguably done enough to merit a start in the next few games ahead of Calvert-Lewin and it remains to be seen if Dyche feels the same way.

In other Everton news, Alan Myers has revealed if new court “issues” are now set to impact the club’s takeover.
