Rangers brace for bids as 'mega-bucks' may be on cards for Ibrox star - report

Rangers are bracing themselves for a bid from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq for James Tavernier, according to the Daily Record.

The newspaper reported in its print edition on June 26 (page 45 and back page), that Tavernier could receive a “mega-bucks” offer that might be too good to refuse.

The Gers skipper would also link up with former manager Steven Gerrard who is keen to have the defender at his disposal again.

If the 32-year-old leaves, Jack Butland is expected to take over captaincy duties at Ibrox.
