Rangers and Celtic are set to miss out on Bristol City forward Tommy Conway who’s poised to join Middlesbrough this week, according to Football Scotland.

The news outlet reported on 15 August that while the two Old Firm clubs were keen on the 22-year-old Scotland international, neither tabled a bid for him and he’s now on the verge of a £4.5million transfer.

Conway was recently banished from the first-team squad as he attempted to force a move away from Ashton Gate and he’s got his way as he’ll be moving to Boro, another EFL Championship side.
