Arsenal are now set to battle two of their London rivals to sign a player from Leeds United this summer.

The Gunners are working hard on the market, but they haven’t been able to complete any deal yet – be it a new signing or a significant sale.

That, however, is expected to change very soon, as Mikel Arteta would ideally want his new players to come in before pre-season begins in July.

Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign plenty of players since the turn of 2024, and a new name has now emerged out of the rumour mill.

But, they will have to beat Tottenham and Chelsea in the race to sign this player.

Archie Gray is one of the most exciting young players in the country – he’s arguably the biggest English talent since Declan Rice.

The midfielder, still only 18 years old, has been attracting interest from bid clubs for over a year now, but Leeds United have managed to hold onto him so far.

Tottenham have been heavily linked with Gray for a long time, while Liverpool are said to be really keen to sign the player too.

The Daily Mail have now shared the latest on the situation.

The report claims that Arsenal and their two London rivals, Chelsea and Tottenham, are all set to battle it out to sign Gray this summer.

It has been revealed that the three capital clubs are ‘preparing to make a move’ to sign the teenager, but it will not be easy.

Leeds want to keep hold of Gray this summer, but they are willing to let him go if their asking price is met – that has been set at £30 million.

Gray, who played 52 times in all competitions for Leeds in the 2023/24 season, still has four years left on his contract at Elland Road.

Arsenal are always on the lookout for talented young players, and Gray definitely checks that box.

The teenager is excellent on the ball. He resists the press very well, has fantastic vision and some of his passes in a Leeds shirt have been a joy to watch.

The young Englishman, who has been hailed as ‘superb‘ by Daniel Farke, can play in all three central midfield positions. He also played a good chunk of the 2023/24 season at right back for Leeds.
