And now, according to reports, Arsenal are looking at another top youngster over in Italy.
Arsenal and Chelsea among clubs looking at Santiago Castro
According to CaughtOffside, Arsenal and Chelsea are among a host of Premier League clubs who are keen on signing Bologna starlet Castro.
The Gunners are named as one of the leading contenders to sign Castro should he end up leaving Bologna.
The young striker has done a good job of replacing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee and he’s already netted three times this season.
Castro has also had high praise for his ability, with Vincenzo Italiano claiming the young forward has shades of Lautaro Martinez in his game.
It’s suggested in the report that Castro is unclear on what his next move may be.
However, there is a belief that Arsenal’s progression under Mikel Arteta may play a part in any decision.
Chelsea will end up involved
While Arsenal might like the idea of signing Santiago Castro, it seems half the Premier League have the same idea.
Worryingly for Arsenal, though, is Chelsea’s apparent interest.
With the Blues making a habit of signing some of the best young players in the world, it’s almost inevitable that they’ll get involved in the bidding here, even if Arsenal feel they can land him.
Castro, then, might have to force the issue himself if he does fancy Arsenal.
