Everton interested in Silas Katompa Mvumpa
According to Florian Plettenberg, Everton are interested in signing Red Star Belgrade attacker Silas Katompa Mvumpa.
Katompa is spending the season on loan in Serbia from Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart and is already really impressing.
The 26-year-old has netted twice in three league outings and is also attracting interest from Spanish side Villarreal.
It’s understood Katompa, who has an £8m release clause, could leave in Janaury and if he does, Red Star will be entitled to receive the majority of the transfer fee.
Stuttgart have a 10-15 per cent sell-on clause if he departs this winter.
Silas Katompa Mvumpa plays like Raheem Sterling
According to FBref data, Katompa is of a similar profile to Arsenal winger Raheem Sterling.
The DR Congo international ranks in the top one per cent for successful take-ons per 90 compared to his positional peers across Europe.
Futher, he sits in the top 10 per cent for progressive passes received, amplifying his terrific movement beyond the backline.
