It’s been an interesting second season at the helm at Tottenham Hotspur for Ange Postecoglou as he continues to stamp his authority at the club.
Results haven’t been too bad as they remain in all competitions, but in the Premier League, the Lilywhites are eighth as they find themselves six points behind the UEFA Champions League places.

In recent weeks, Tottenham have also been hampered by injuries to Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, among others, while Wilson Odobert and Richarlison are long-term absentees.
Ahead of the January transfer window, there have been suggestions that Postecoglou could fine-tune his squad.
But if reports from Spain are to be believed, one of their forgotten stars could be set for a transfer in the coming weeks.
Sergio Reguilon linked with Tottenham exit
Despite being hailed as an ‘incredible’ player, Sergio Reguilon has been frozen out of the Tottenham squad by Postecoglou since the start of the season.
He hasn’t played a single minute for club or country this season as his career continues to nosedive alarmingly.
However, earlier this week, Postecoglou confirmed that Reguilon is back in contention for Tottenham, potentially giving him a new lease of life.
And now, a report from Super Deporte claims Getafe are serious about signing the Spaniard in the January transfer window as they continue to explore the conditions of a potential transfer.
Reguilon’s contract runs out next summer, so a loan deal would be complicated.
The report also states that contract termination in January could be an option, which could allow the La Liga side to sign Reguilon on a free transfer permanently.
Reguilon’s Tottenham career so far
The 27-year-old joined Tottenham in 2020 for £27.5m and fared quite well for the club in the first two seasons.
However, he quickly fell out of favour and spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Atletico Madrid before returning to Tottenham in the summer of 2023.

Last season was another eventful one for Reguilon, who spent the first half of the season on loan at Manchester United and the second half with Brentford.
He hasn’t featured for Tottenham since 2022 and is unlikely to do so despite Postecoglou recently claiming he’ll be considered for selection.
A move to Spain is probably the best option for the left-back to get his dwindling career back on track.
