Arsenal are looking to sign a new striker in January and Mikel Arteta believes he has found the perfect player for his team.

The Gunners were held to a frustrating goalless draw at home to Everton as their need for a new centre-forward was highlighted. Arteta’s side managed 13 attempts at goal, however, they just couldn’t find a way past Jordan Pickford.

It’s been evident for a while that a lack of a goal scorer has been holding Arsenal back and the Spanish manager is keen for that to change next month.

Mikel Arteta believes that Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic is the perfect fit for his Arsenal team, according to CaughtOffside. The Gunners are in desperate need of a goal scorer as their struggles continue to covert all the chances they are creating.

The North London club are very much in the market to add a new striker next month and the 24-year-old appears to be one of their top targets. Vlahovic is valued at around £58 million in January with his current deal at Juve running until 2026.

The Bianconeri are keen to get him tied down to a new deal, however, if those talks fail to accelerate soon, they may consider a sale. Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City are among the other clubs monitoring Vlahovic’s situation.

How good has Dusan Vlahovic been this season?

Pep Guardiola witnessed first-hand just how good Vlahovic can be as the Serbian forward netted in Juventus’ 2-0 win over Manchester City. He has now taken his tally to 11 goals in 19 appearances in all competitions this term.

Vlahovic is still managing to score goals for a Juventus team who are struggling in both Serie A and the Champions League. Thiago Motta’s side find themselves 14th in Europe and sixth in the league.

The striker has netted 23 times in all competitions in 2024 making him the 15th highest-scoring across Europe’s top five leagues.
