Report: PSG offer contract to £73m attacker who Arsenal were given the chance to sign
Interesting...????
PSG have offered a contract to a highly-rated attacker who Arsenal were offered the chance to sign.
Arsenal have made a slow start to the transfer window but now seem close to landing their first signing of the summer in Italy star Riccardo Calafiori.
Sporting director Edu Gaspar is thought to be working on a deal for an attacker, too, with Mikel Arteta keen on signing Nico Williams.
The Gunners were offered the chance to sign a £73m wide player earlier in the window and now he’s been offered a contract by French champions PSG.
PSG offer contract to Jadon Sancho
TBR reported earlier this month that Arsenal had been offered the chance to sign Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho.
Though, it’s understood The Gunners turned down the chance to sign the £73m winger and just a couple of weeks later, he’s now being subjected to interest from Paris Saint Germain.
That’s according to Foot Mercato, who claim the Ligue 1 giants have offered Sancho a contract and he’s thought to be interested in the proposal.
Chelsea and Manchester City were also handed the opportunity to sign the 24-year-old, but like Arsenal, they turned their noses up at the deal.
Arsenal focused on Nico Williams
Arsenal seem to be purely focused on Athletic Bilbao and Spain star Nico Williams, though, they’re facing stiff competition from Barcelona.
In fact, the La Liga giants are becoming ‘increasingly confident’ that Williams will join them this summer despite The Gunners’ strong interest.
The 2002-born attacker has a £47m release clauses in his contract which is yet to be active by suitors this window.
In other news, a £33m striker who Arsenal want to sign is now on the verge of joining Atletico Madrid.
