The Friedkin Group are happy with the performance of Sean Dyche as Everton boss and are in no rush to make a managerial change, according to TEAMtalk.
The news outlet reported via their website (30 December) that the American businessmen want to take things “step by step” and, at the moment, believe Dyche’s performance as manager has been “competent”.
The report also adds that there are three options on the table for the 53-year-old, with the Friedkins still yet to decide on where his future lies.
Sean Dyche should be kept on at Everton
Although Dyche’s style of play might bore fans at times and make them want to see more attacking football, it’s undeniable that it gets the results needed.
In their last five Premier League games, the Merseyside outfit have only been beaten once and that came against the in-form Nottingham Forest on Sunday (29 December).
While their league position of 16th could certainly be far better, it feels like Dyche has made the best of what he’s got available to him and has done an impressive job during his time as boss.
The Friedkins may want to bring in their own manager to perhaps start to send the Toffees in a different direction but with the players who currently ply their trade for Everton, it feels like nobody would be able to get much more out of the squad.
Only time will tell what they’ll choose to do but at the moment, the smartest option seems to be keeping Dyche on and extending his tenure.
In other Everton news, the Blues could seal a move for a Newcastle ace who has played 16 league matches this season.
