West Ham United are having a bad season.
Expected to at least push for the European places in the Premier League table this season, West Ham currently find themselves 14th in the Premier League table.
The Hammers have picked up just 12 points from 11 games and are only five points above the relegation zone.
Julen Lopetegui is coming under pressure. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers boss was appointed the West Ham manager in the summer of 2024.
West Ham are already looking at potential signings in the January transfer window, and one of the players the London club are reportedly keen on is Paul Pogba.
West Ham United want to sign Paul Pogba
According to TuttoJuve, West Ham believe that Pogba “remains a player of great class and quality” and are willing to sign him on a free transfer.
The report in the Italian news outlet has added that West Ham believe that the former Manchester United midfielder can “become a key player” in the team.
TBR reported over the weekend that Pogba is open to a return to the Premier League.
The midfielder will become a free agent at the end of the month when he leaves Juventus after agreeing a mutual termination of his contract.
Pogba can resume training in January and will be eligible to play again from March.
Newcastle United also want to sign Paul Pogba
West Ham are not going to find it easy, though, to agree a deal with Pogba.
That is because there are other clubs who are also keen on a deal for the 31-year-old French midfielder.
TuttoJuve has claimed that Newcastle United are interested in bringing Pogba to St. James’ Park on a free transfer.
Just like Premier League rivals West Ham, Newcastle also believe that the former Manchester United midfielder will become a key figure in the team.
