Revealed: Man United plan to accept 'big' Jadon Sancho bid

Manchester United will accept a “big” fee for Jadon Sancho this month and a deal is still regarded as likely, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed Erik ten Hag is reluctant to lose any more players before the transfer window closes due to the injuries they have suffered in pre-season.

However, interest from PSG remains strong after Football Insider revealed talks are taking place between the two clubs about a possible permanent move.

Man United may be forced to cash in on some of their players in an attempt to raise funds for further spending in this summer’s window.

Sources say the French champions are continuing to explore the opportunity of signing the winger, but the move is not currently a priority.

Sancho joined Man United in a £73million move from Dortmund in 2021, but has failed to have the desired impact in England.

The winger has made 82 appearances in his three years at the club, but has managed just 12 goals and six assists in that time.

A public falling out with Ten Hag saw him ostracised from the first-team squad last season, and it looked inevitably his future rested away from Old Trafford.

However, he has been re-integrated into the Man United squad during pre-season and is likely to be part of the squad in their opening Premier League fixture.

The 24-year-old came on as an 83rd-minute substitute during the Community Shield penalty defeat to Man City and saw his spot kick saved.

Sancho spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund and helped the German outfit to reach the Champions League final where they fell to Real Madrid.

This inspired interest from clubs across Europe as he was allowed to show his talent away from Old Trafford.

Any deal is now expected to drag on until the window closes on 30 August as United assess their options, with clubs still monitoring his situation.
