Revealed: Tottenham will now accept £10m Rodon bid after Leeds twist

Tottenham are ready to let defender Joe Rodon move on this summer, sources have told Football Insider.

It is believed Premier League newcomers Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton all hold an interest in the 26-year-old.

Sources say Rodon doesn’t figure in the plans of Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, with the Wales international now ready to make a permanent move away from the club.

He spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Leeds United and the Yorkshire giants had been keen to keep the fan favourite at Elland Road.

But in a major blow, Rodon is now the subject of Premier League interest and the Whites are unlikely to beat promoted clubs in the race for his signature.

The 26-year-old is keen to make a permanent move and kick-start his career at a new club after a frustrating spell with Tottenham.

It is believed Spurs will accept a bid of around £10million despite the Wales international still having two years to run on his contract.

Rodon made 50 appearances across all competitions for Leeds in the 2023-24 campaign as they fell short in the Championship play-off final last month.

The defender, who had a mixed spell on loan with Stade Rennais in the 2022-23 campaign, joined Tottenham from Swansea in 2020.

He has managed just 24 appearances across all competitions for Spurs, with just 14 coming as part of the starting lineup.
