Douglas Luiz is edging closer to leaving Aston Villa after new talks with Juventus in the last 24 hours, sources have told Football Insider.
The two clubs have agreed a players-plus-cash deal for the 26-year-old midfielder.
Samuel Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea have agreed to join Aston Villa this summer, with Luiz heading to Serie A giants Juventus.
The Old Lady will also pay the Midlands giants a fee of £25million for the Brazil international.
A deal is now set to be finalised before the end of this month when Villa’s financial accounts roll over to the 2024-25 campaign.
Iling-Junior and Enzo Barrenechea are poised to join the stampede of new arrivals at Villa, with Lewis Dobbin already signed and Ian Maatsen and Ross Barkley set to follow.
Unai Emery’s side have chosen to part with Luiz to fix their financial concerns with a potential breach of Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR) hanging over the club.

Breaching PSR could have meant a points deduction or financial penalty in the 2024-25 campaign.
Luiz, who has two years left to run on his contract at Villa Park, was a star man for Emery’s side last term as they finished fourth in the Premier League.
The midfield star started 47 games in 53 total appearances, notching 10 goals and 10 assists.
Iling-Junior, 20, joins Villa after making 27 senior appearances for Juventus last term – notching one goal and two assists in six starts.
23-year-old defensive midfielder Enzo Barrenechea spent the 2023-24 campaign on loan at Frosinone and was a mainstay as they suffered relegation to Serie B.
