The Esk instantly reacts as 777 lender makes Everton investment proposal

Advantage Capital Holdings LLC are not in a position to complete a deal with Everton to invest in the Toffees, according to The Esk.

Reports emerged from Bloomberg on Thursday (6 June) that A-Cap who is a major lender to 777 Partners and a partner firm had submitted a plan to acquire a non-controlling stake in the Goodison Park-based club.

Such a deal would see the Blues’ debt refinanced, but Toffees’ financial expert, The Esk has suggested that the partner firm is not currently able to advance such a deal with either the club or Farhad Moshiri.

Writing on X on Thursday (6 June) he said: “Categorically, A-Cap are not in a position to go forwards on any deal with Everton/ Moshiri/ creditors etc as suggested by Bloomberg.”

Will A-Cap complete Everton takeover after 777 Partners deal collapsed?

Everton supporters must be so bored of these takeover twists popping up at Goodison Park because it feels like a day doesn’t go by when something else doesn’t appear to make the Toffees’ future even more confusing.

Investment from A-Cap may well help the Blues manage and refinance their current debt, but that doesn’t mean that it is an avenue Moshiri should pursue, especially with the company’s connections with 777 Partners.

The Esk tends to know what he is talking about in these situations as he was one of the first to suggest 777 would never acquire the Toffees when a deal was first announced. Therefore, it seems unlikely A-Cap will be able to complete a deal with Moshiri in the future.

Ultimately, Everton need a solution to this off-the-field uncertainty sooner rather than later as it is beginning to have an impact on Sean Dyche’s side on the pitch, with the likes of Jarrad Branthwaite and Dominic Calvert-Lewin linked with moves away.

Whether it is a deal with A-Cap or an alternative buyer, Moshiri needs to find somebody willing to take over the Toffees as quickly as possible.

In other Everton news, reports suggest that 777 Partners believe that they could still take over from Farhad Mohsiri at Goodison Park
