Spotted: Player linked with summer transfer seen in Rangers training

Rangers defender Connor Goldson has been spotted in pre-season training along with Oscar Cortes and Danilo.

As shared by Four Lads Had a Dream, the trio ended last season injured but are now back on the training pitch.

Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack said on 23 May that Goldson could be on his way to Saudi Arabia with Steven Gerrard keen on a reunion with the 31-year-old.

Via Twitter, Four Lads wrote: “From Rangers official pictures. Cortes, Danilo, Goldson all in training, All ended the season injured.”

Connor Goldson may not be a Rangers player for too long

Philippe Clement will be hoping to guide his players to the title after finishing second to Celtic last season.

One player of the aforementioned trio may not be at the club and Goldson may not even play another senior game for Gers.

Rangers should consider selling him if they receive a suitable offer from Saudi clubs, as it could benefit the club financially and strategically.

At 31 years old, Goldson is approaching the latter stages of his career and his market value may decrease in the coming years.

Selling him now could provide the Ibrox outfit with a significant transfer fee, which could be reinvested in younger, promising talents.

Additionally, his departure could open up opportunities for emerging players in the squad to step up and fill the void.
