The Friedkin Group have not taken long to add Everton to their official website in the “companies” section.
BBC journalist Giulia Bould took to X on 20 December to spot the change as the takeover was finalised a day earlier on Thursday.

Bould wrote: “One day ago, Dan Friedkin told EFC fans that while The Friedkin Group ‘are new to the Club, we fully understand the vital role Everton plays in local culture, history and the lives of Evertonians here & around the world’.
“Their updated website is a good start.”
Everton fans will certainly appreciate this gesture by The Friedkin Group
The addition of Everton to The Friedkin Group’s official website shortly after the takeover was finalised is a small yet significant gesture that fans will undoubtedly notice and appreciate.
Following years of disillusionment with the previous ownership under Farhad Moshiri, where supporters felt neglected and respect was minimal, this prompt acknowledgement by The Friedkin Group marks a refreshing change.
It’s these subtle actions that signal a new era of respect and recognition for the club’s cultural and historical significance, both locally and globally, as acknowledged by Friedkin himself.
While this initial gesture has set a positive tone and opened the door for a warm welcome from the Evertonians, the real challenge for The Friedkin Group lies ahead.
They must continue to engage with the fans, invest wisely in the club and deliver on the pitch to truly win over the hearts of the fans who are eager for stability and success after recent turbulent times.
It’s not going to be easy, but nothing in football ever is and their work has already begun to take this club to the promised land.
In other Everton news, the club could make two surprise moves in January with Alan Myers issuing a transfer update.
