Man United are through the worst of their short-term financial troubles and remain one of the most financially successful clubs in the world.
That is the view of finance expert Stefan Borson, who exclusively told Football Insider that the club had undergone a “tricky little spell.”
The Premier League giants recently revealed they have made a loss of more than £110million during their latest financial results.
United had to balance their books to avoid breaching the profit and sustainability rules after the £115million loss from the 2021-22 accounts.
But things are looking more positive for the club from a financial perspective moving forward.
Man United are still financially thriving despite difficulties
“United are still one of the most financially successful clubs in the world,” Borson told Football Insider.
“They’ve gone through a tricky little spell, but once the numbers from 21-22 drop off, from a PSR perspective, they should have some capacity.
“I would expect they’re probably through the worst of their financial short-term troubles.
“But that does depend on them not having to invest huge amounts of money on the pitch, and at the moment, each year, they do seem to have to invest quite a lot.
“We will have to wait and see, but on a headline basis, they look like they’re still heading in the right direction from a financial perspective.”
