Adrian Durham was in awe of Iliman Ndiaye as he opened the scoring for Everton in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City on Saturday, 21 September.
The 24-year-old opened his Blues account to give his side the lead in a must-win match at the bottom of the Premier League table.
Durham provided live updates on the Premier League action on talkSPORT [21 September, 3:11pm] and was wowed by Ndiaye as he scored his first league goal in England.
He said: “That’s actually a brilliant goal from Iliman Ndiaye, he’s been a livewire since he’s got on the pitch for Everton.
“We all know what he can do from his time at Sheffield United, terrific cutting inside the box and then unleashes the right footer in off the post.
“Not a lot the goalkeeper could have done.”
Everton need to build around Iliman Ndiaye
Kevin Thelwell was a busy man this summer at Goodison Park and performed an admirable job under the circumstances, supplying Sean Dyche with seven new signings.
While the 53-year-old has hesitated to throw his new faces into the starting lineup this season, Ndiaye has looked a cut above the rest for Everton.
His strike against Leicester is a monumental moment in the Blues season finally getting his side some points on the board after four consecutive losses in the Premier League and a disappointing penalty shootout exit to fellow bottom-of-the-table Southampton in the Carabao Cup.
Everton have thrown away the lead to drop points again at the King Power stadium however, given the capitulations of the two-goal leads against Bournemouth and Aston Villa, leaving Leicester with a share of the spoils can be considered a step albeit small, in the right direction.
It is another afternoon of disappointment for the Blues regardless, Dyche has done himself no favours with speculation regarding his future growing with each passing match [i News] and a missed opportunity to climb out of the relegation zone.
The current crop of players at Goodison Park have had plenty of opportunity to prove their worth to wear the Everton shirt, Dyche has struggled to figure out his strongest lineup this season but, if he wants to remain at the helm at the end of the season he must hand the reigns to Ndiaye.
