Kieran Maguire does not believe that the £200million loan from 777 Partners will cause anxiety with regard to the Everton takeover.
The finance expert is of the opinion that the Friedkin Group will have taken this into consideration ahead of deciding to buy the club.
There’s also the possibility that Dan Friedkin might have tried to get some assurance from Farhad Moshiri or another third party over the potential downside of a settlement.
Maguire told TBR: “Friedkin will have already done a risk assessment so I don’t think this will cause any anxiety.
“He might have tried to get some assurance from Moshiri or another third party as to the potential downside of a settlement.
“But it will have already have been factored into the negotiations.”
The Friedkin Group are unlikely to pull the plug on the Everton takeover
The Friedkin Group who will be aware of the £200million loan from 777 Partners are likely to approach this financial obligation with strategic foresight.
They might convert the loan into equity, reducing Everton’s debt and aligning interests.
Alternatively, refinancing could be sought for more favourable terms or they might negotiate a settlement agreement, possibly at a discount.
Legal safeguards could also be put in place to manage potential legal outcomes, ensuring the club’s financial health and stability post-takeover.
Things appear way too advanced for something like a loan to cause anxiety as these things are generally looked at in the initial stages.
It seems that after the formalities are completed, what would be remaining is for the Premier League to give their green light.
