Tom Brady sends message to David Beckham after Birmingham's win vs Wrexham

Birmingham City co-owner and former American football superstar was in attendance alongside England legend David Beckham for their 3-1 victory over Wrexham on Monday.

Brady, 47, had been trading barbs with Wrexham owners Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney on X, formally known as Twitter, after the club’s official account posted a picture of ex-NFL rival Eli Manning wearing a Wrexham shirt.

Wrexham striker Jack Marriot opened the scoring for the Welsh side in the third minute with a well-struck finish from a corner but it was all Birmingham after that.

The ex-New England Patriot had the last laugh, however, two goals from record-breaking £15million man Jay Stansfield and a well-placed long-range effort from ex-Celtic midfielder Tomoki Iwata were enough to beat Hollywood-backed Wrexham.

Ex-England captain Beckham wasn’t the only member of Man United’s famous ‘Class of ’92’ in attendance, Gary Neville was also there.

Brady owns just 3.3 per cent of Birmingham City and has no voting rights on how the club is run according to a report from The Athletic.

The American took to Instagram to thank Beckham for joining, and for teaching him how to sing at a football game.

Yet, he has become the poster boy for an ownership group that oversaw the signings of 17 new first-team players over the summer transfer window.

The ex-Premier League club currently occupy second place in League One so, winning four and drawing one of their opening five games.
