Tottenham are not planning to sack Ange Postecoglu with the Australian retaining internal support, according to The Telegraph.

The news outlet reports [9 December] that the North Londoners have no intention of parting ways with the 59-year-old despite pressure building on him after some poor results — losing 4-3 to Chelsea at home on 8 December.

Spurs are doing everything in their power to turn things around, and Postecoglou has already held meetings with technical director Johan Lange to discuss reinforcements ahead of the January transfer window.

While the 59-year-old’s job is secure for now, while responding to a fan account on X [8 December], Paul O’Keefe shared that the next two fixtures against Rangers and Southampton could be massive.

Ange Postecoglou right man for Tottenham

Postecoglou is the right man to take the Lilywhites forward and has repeatedly shown that his style of play is one of the most attractive in the Premier League.

The Spurs faithful had been clamouring for a progressive manager after surviving the eras of Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte in N17.

The Australian head coach is everything the fans wanted and more, and while the North London club have been inconsistent, the displays have been encouraging.

Tottenham haven’t won a trophy in 16 years, and during that time, several managers have come and gone.

Daniel Levy needs to realise that the problem stems from the boardroom rather than the dugout, and hopefully, the 59-year-old head coach will be backed in the upcoming transfer window to bolster his squad, which has been ravaged by injuries.

The losses to Bournemouth and Chelsea aren’t flattering for Spurs, but this is the same team that recently beat Manchester City twice.

Against the top teams, Postecoglou’s tactics often work a treat, and that’s what the North Londoners need to do — compete with the best in the Premier League.

Yves Bissouma made a crucial mistake, and the Lilywhites’ attackers — including the ever-so-reliant Son Heung-min — missed some essential chances against Enzo Maresca’s team.

On another day, Spurs could’ve comfortably beaten the Blues and gotten the three points.

Postecoglou needs backing from the board and fans right now rather than questions being raised over his future.

In other Tottenham news, Richard Keys has reacted to a controversy in the Chelsea fixture as he believes one played should’ve been sent off.
