Tottenham in advanced talks to sign another new forward amid £21.2m transfer update

Tottenham Hotspur are in advanced talks to sign Youssef En-Nesyri from Sevilla this summer with a £21.2 million price tag set, according to Vamos mi Sevilla.

The La Liga side are looking to sell the Morocco international to bring in funds ahead of their financial deadline on 30 June.

The Spanish outlet has reported (6 June) that they have “found a last-minute ally” in Spurs who are now in advanced talks with Sevilla for En-Nesyri.

If Ange Postecoglou’s side want to sign the striker this summer, he will cost “around” £21.2m in a cut-price deal.

Spurs have been in need for a recognised striker in their squad since Harry Kane left which has been papered over by the form of Heung-Min Son.

Richarlison and Timo Werner also have the ability to play as a central striker but it could be suggested that they are stronger out wide.

This could see Postecoglou look to sign En-Nesyri as a striker option this summer which could fill a hole in the squad moving into next season.

With Sevilla looking to make up some funds to deal with financial concerns ahead of a 30 June deadline, a big sale is needed.

The Moroccan has spent his whole senior career in La Liga and has found his peak at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan Stadium.

At six foot two inches, the striker is proficient in the air which allows him to score plenty with his head while flicking the ball onto his teammates.

He would certainly add a point of difference to the Spurs squad next season which could be useful as Postecoglou goes in search of Champions League qualification.
