Tottenham would possibly be open to selling Pedro Porro to Real Madrid if the club receives a suitable offer, according to GiveMeSport.

The news outlet published a report on Thursday [17 October] stating Spurs will entertain an offer for the full-back northwards of the £60million mark.

Real Madrid have drafted a shortlist of Porro, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jeremy Frimpong, with the club eager to sign a long-term replacement for Daniel Carvajal, who suffered a season-ending ACL injury earlier this month.

Alexander-Arnold is the reported priority target for Los Blancos, but with reports emerging the right-back is progressing in contract negotiations with Liverpool [DaveOCKOP, 17 October], the LaLiga giants could turn to Porro and look to bring him back to Spain.

Tottenham cannot sell Pedro Porro to Real Madrid

Porro has previously admitted his pride in being linked with a move to Real Madrid [Fabrizio Romano] and, while the speculation is a testament to his development in North London, Tottenham cannot roll over and allow Madrid to steal a star performer.

The 25-year-old has been a key figure for Spurs since his £39m move from Sporting Lisbon last year and has established himself as one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou would do well to find a right-back who can replicate the same impact at Spurs, and losing Porro could potentially open the floodgates with Cristian Romero also reportedly on the shortlist at Madrid [TyC Sports].

Spurs admittedly can do little to fight the pulling power of Real Madrid and it could be that, should they firm their interest in the full-back, it will only be a matter of time before he is sporting the famous white of another side.

The lure of the Champions League and potentially winning the competition would be enough for any player to make the move given Tottenham agonisingly missed out on competing this year after losing out to Aston Villa in the race for fourth place last term.

Daniel Levy is no pushover, however, and the £60m valuation touted is pocket change for a player of Porro’s quality. If the right-back decides a move back to Spain is the next step in his career, anything less than £80m would be a rip-off.

In other Tottenham news, Spurs have been backed to sign Jacob Ramsey in £50m transfer ahead of Arsenal and Newcastle.
