Abdoulaye Doucoure could return for Everton in one of three predicted changes when they travel to the London Stadium to face West Ham on Saturday.

The Toffees face West Ham in what could end up being a six-pointer with both sides struggling at the wrong end of the Premier League table.

A disappointing 1-0 defeat to previously winless Southampton could spark changes for Sean Dyche with Everton hoping to get back to winning ways at the London Stadium.

Sean Dyche could welcome Abdoulaye Doucoure back to his Everton squad

Dyche could make up to three changes to the lineup that tasted defeat at St Mary’s in what was a dismal display.

One of those changes could see Jarrad Branthwaite come back into the starting 11, replacing centre-back Michael Keane in the back four. Many were surprised to see the central defender named on the bench against Southampton but he is expected to be drafted back into the starting lineup at the weekend.

The rest of the Toffees defence is likely to stay the same with Ashley Young and Vitalii Mykoloenko occupying the full-back positions and James Trakoswki partnering Branthwaite centrally.

The potential return of Doucoure would add significant quality to Eerton’s midfield that struggled against Southampton and he could come straight in and partner Idrissa Gueye despite the duo facing criticism from Chris Beesley last month.

Iliman Ndiaye has been a standout player for the Merseyside club this season and will undoubtedly keep his place wide left with Jesper Lindstromg expected to start on the opposite flank.

Dwight McNeil, a well-known favourite of Dyche, could keep his place in the 10 role as the Toffees look to address a creativity issue that has hindered them in several games.

The last change Dyche could make would see Beto start in place of Dominic Calvert-Lewin who has failed to impress consistently.

Beto is yet to start a game for Everton this season but could get his chance against West Ham.

In other Everton news, Beesley has offered his verdict on whether or not Leighton Baines could replace Sean Dyche as manager.
