Rangers’ attack has undergone plenty of change this summer with a lot more likely to come.

The Glasgow-based outfit has explored the market over the course of the transfer window and has looked at many targets to fulfill their needs.

Hamza Igamane is one of the many players who have arrived at Ibrox [Daily Record, 7 July] to try and bolster their chances of coming away with the Scottish Premiership title this season.

Rapid Bucharest ace Albion Rrahmani was a name mostly linked with a move to Scotland at the start of the transfer window [Daily Record, 28 June].

Since then, talks have simmered down but on 30 July it was reported that the club might have reignited their interest in the attacker once again after a new bid was expected from an unnamed side [Sorin Chiriac].

However, just yesterday (31 July) Bucharest shareholder Victor Angelescu spoke to Romanian outlet Digi Sport and shared his verdict on the future of the Kosovo international.

“As far as I know, he is fit for the next match. It is correct that it was not the same Rrahmani, but I do not agree that he is only thinking about the transfer,” he said.

“We had a chat and he knows 95 per cent he won’t be leaving this summer. It’s ok, he’s at peace with the idea, I don’t think he’s thinking about leaving anymore.”

Albion Rrahmani staying at Rapid Bucharest is a blow for Rangers

Despite the likes of Danilo, Cyriel Dessers and Igamane all being able to play the number nine role, neither of the former two have managed to convince fans that they can lead the Rangers’ line.

Igamane is a different topic as the Morocco international is still just 21 years old and has only recently joined the club.

Dutchman Sam Lammers has also just exited Ibrox which leaves Clement’s side a bit on the lighter side when it comes to their number nine role.

Last season Dessers did manage to score 22 goals across all competitions but his form was never consistent enough to prove to fans he’s the man to lead their line.

And, at the age of 29, it feels as if someone such as Rrahmani could be a better option.

Although a move for the Kosovo international now looks to be off the table, if the opportunity arises for the club once again, they should definitely consider making another move for the Rapid Bucharest ace.

In other Rangers news, the fee that the Gers could be paying for a transfer this summer has been reported.
