Daniel Levy once again finds himself in hot water with supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It feels as if hardly a week goes by without Levy upsetting the Spurs faithful one way or another.

Earlier this month the club unveiled next season’s home shirt via their official website (4 June), with Alasdair Gold noting via X (4 June) the “mad” cost of the kit.

Supporters would have likely been fuming about the amount they were being asked to cough up just to wear their club’s colours, and it appears that Levy has struck once again.

Earlier this year, it was announced via the club’s official website (6 March) that season ticket prices were to increase by six per cent for the 2024/2025 campaign.

And as if that wasn’t enough, there have been yet more ticket price rises in North London.

Spurs confirmed their match ticket pricing and on-sale dates for next season via their official website on Thursday (20 June), announcing that the cost of an individual ticket would be going up.

The statement read, “Earlier this month, the Club met with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust to discuss the pricing models being considered.

“For the 2024/25 season, there will be an increase on match ticket prices to allow for inflation – £6 on a Category A ticket and £1 on Category B and C tickets.”

However, the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust has now hit back at the club.

In an official statement published on their website (20 June), the Trust wrote, “We pushed for stretch pricing and were able to restrict the increases on category B and C games to £1, but we still believe the increase to category A games is indefensible and unnecessary.”

Daniel Levy once again angers supporters at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Just one hour before England played out a dull 1-1 draw with Denmark at the 2024 UEFA European Championship, Spurs supporters discovered that there were to be more price rises next season.

Those who were too busy getting involved with the pre-match festivities would have read about this on their way home following a painful watch.

The timing of the announcement didn’t help, nor did the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters’ Trust hitting back at the club after they had insisted they had met with the group to discuss these changes.

Supporters have every right to be angry.

And until Ange Postecoglou and his players start lifting trophies on the pitch, it will become increasingly more difficult for Levy to justify to fans that they should be paying more to watch their team.

In other Tottenham news, Real Madrid want to sign Micky van de Ven in a big-money deal.
